Day 1

Arrival in Guatemala

A representative of DoGuate will be waiting for you at the exit gate of the International Airport of Guatemala City. After a big welcome, we will provide you with all the information and details about your trip including a mobile phone with all the important phone numbers you need to know while in Guatemala. Our next stop you will be taken to your hotel in the beautiful city of Antigua Guatemala.

Note: Depending on the time of your arrival, you might have some spare time to begin exploring the city of Antigua.

Day 2


The colonial walking tour and Tour of Pueblos

Your guide will be waiting for you at the front desk of your hotel to take you to the tour around the historical monuments of Antigua Guatemala, and the surrounding villages. This tour will be divided in two parts:



Walking tour around the beautiful Antigua Guatemala


  1. The tour starts in the central plaza where you will have the chance to visit the City Hall Palace, the Palace of The Captain’s General, and the outstanding Cathedral and its majestic ruins.

You will then visit the Museum of Colonial Art located in the building that housed the University of San Carlos de Borromeo, then you will head to the Santa Clara ruins, stopping by the San Francisco Church and convent where you will see the shrine of Peter of Saint Joseph Bethancourt (Hermano Pedro de Bethancourt). You will next visit the Museums Promenade, a cultural route created by an agreement between San Carlos de Guatemala University and Hotel Casa Santo Domingo. This includes seven museums.

Last but not least, you will visit the iconic monuments of Capuchinas Convent and La Merced Church and Convent, this specific site has an exquisite baroque style façade that shows and extraordinary stucco finish. Inside the convent you will find one of the largest and most beautiful fountains in the city.


Tour of Pueblos

You will now hop on a mini bus that will take you to some of the most picturesque villages around Antigua.



You will start in the iconic landmark of “The Cross Hill” (El Cerro de La Cruz), the natural viewpoint of the city. You will then head to the Cultural Center “La Azotea”; there you will find the Coffee Museum, the Textile Museum, and Mayan Music Museum (Casa K’ojom), you will have the chance to experience a tour around the coffee plantation. Then you will visit San Antonio Aguas Calientes, a traditional weaver’s town. The last stop of this tour, San Juan del Obispo, it is a small village in which you will visit the Bishop’s museum and some of the old traditional business such as the chocolate factory and loquat wine.

Day 3

Chichicastenando Market and Lake Atitlan*

You will be picked up at your hotel to take you to the largest open market of Chichicastenango, there you will have the chance to walk around the market, visit the Church of Saint Thomas (Santo Tomás), where Christian believes and ancient mayan traditions melt into one.


After enjoying a traditional meal of the region (not included), we will take you to the one and only, the marvelous, Lake Atitlan, located at about 1 hour from Chichicastenango, there you can enjoy exploring the city of Panajachel, a multicultural center in which many people, local or foreigners, cohabitate together.

*NOTE: The Chichicastenango market opens only Thursday and Sunday. In case it is not possible to visit the market on those two days, we will then offer you a tour of villages around the lake (Includes private boat).

Day 4


Transfer from Antigua Guatemala to the International Airport in Guatemala City


Your transfer will meet you at your hotel to take you to Guatemala City.
